01.Summary

UG Cortex is the intelligence operating system used internally by UG UAE and licensed to a small number of qualifying institutional clients. We are hiring a full-stack engineer to extend the platform's analytical surface, deal-flow tooling, and operator workflows.

02.What you will do

  • Build and maintain user-facing features across the Cortex web application, from data-ingestion pipelines through to operator-facing dashboards.
  • Design Postgres schemas and row-level security policies that enforce role-based access across multi-tenant deployments.
  • Implement real-time data flows for event streams, ingest queues, and operator alerts.
  • Work alongside analysts, field operators, and product to translate operational requirements into shipped software.
  • Own features end-to-end, including specification, implementation, instrumentation, and post-deploy verification.
  • Use AI-assisted development tooling responsibly within an engineering culture that values rigor over throughput.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions on a platform that is regularly reviewed by external security auditors.

03.What we look for

  • Demonstrated production experience with TypeScript and modern React, including server components and edge runtimes.
  • Strong applied knowledge of Postgres, including schema design, query performance, and row-level security.
  • Comfort working on systems where correctness, auditability, and access control are first-order requirements.
  • Track record of shipping software in environments where the cost of a defect is non-trivial.
  • Pragmatic engineering judgement; preference for clarity over cleverness.
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions in writing to a non-technical audience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

04.Vetting

All offers are conditional on successful background screening conducted in accordance with the law of the candidate's hiring jurisdiction. Screening typically includes verification of prior employment and education, criminal-record checks, sanctions and adverse-media review, and reference interviews. Engineers with access to client production environments are subject to enhanced screening on a recurring cadence.
