Accessibility Statement

UG UAE LLC is committed to making its public website usable by the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. This statement describes the accessibility of the Site, the standard we are working to, what is currently compliant, what is known not yet to be compliant, and how to report issues.

1. Standard

We design and develop this Site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). UG UAE LLC is established in the United Arab Emirates, and we treat WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our primary target. Where a market we serve specifies a different standard or version (for example, the European Standard EN 301 549, or U.S. Section 508), we work in good-faith alignment with the higher of the applicable recognised standards.

WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the same standard referenced by widely recognised accessibility frameworks, including:

  • EU Directive 2016/2102 on the accessibility of public-sector bodies' websites and mobile applications, and the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882), which we treat as a reference framework for our EU-connected audiences;
  • the UK Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, which we treat as a reference framework for our UK-connected audiences; and
  • the U.S. Department of Justice's published guidance on Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act for web content, which we treat as a reference framework for our U.S.-connected audiences.

As a private entity headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, we adopt these instruments as good-faith benchmarks for the quality of our accessibility, rather than as regulators of this Site.

2. What is compliant

Based on internal review and automated tooling, the following are believed to conform to WCAG 2.2 AA on this Site:

  • semantic HTML structure (landmarks, headings, lists);
  • text alternatives for non-decorative images;
  • keyboard operability for primary navigation, links, and forms;
  • visible focus indication on interactive elements;
  • color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and meaningful non-text elements;
  • responsive layout that supports zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality;
  • form fields with associated labels and accessible error messages; and
  • skip-to-content link to bypass repeated navigation.

3. Known issues and exceptions

We track accessibility defects through internal review and ongoing monitoring, and we prioritise them for remediation as they are identified. Where we become aware that specific content does not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.2 AA, common categories we watch for include: older published documents that may not be fully tagged for screen-reader use; embedded video that does not yet carry complete captions; and data visualisations that rely on color as a sole differentiator at small sizes. Where any such issue is present on this Site, we work to resolve it and, in the interim, offer an accessible alternative on request through the contact channel below.

We publish updates to our accessibility posture alongside each new version of this statement, and we share remediation progress with anyone who reports an issue.

4. Technologies used

Accessibility of the Site relies on the following technologies working together with the user's browser and assistive technology:

  • HTML, ARIA where ARIA is necessary and not redundant;
  • CSS and SVG for layout, theming, and iconography;
  • JavaScript for progressive enhancement, with a usable baseline experience when JavaScript is disabled where reasonably practicable; and
  • standard web fonts subject to user-agent override.

We test against current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and against common screen-reader and browser combinations, including NVDA with Firefox and JAWS with Chrome on Windows, VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack with Chrome on Android.

5. Reporting an issue

If you encounter content on this Site that is not accessible, or you have feedback about the accessibility of the Site, contact us:

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days and to provide an initial substantive response within twenty business days.

6. Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility report, you may contact us again so we can escalate the matter internally for further review. Depending on your location and the nature of your concern, you may also have the right to raise the matter with the relevant supervisory or consumer-protection authority in your jurisdiction. We will cooperate in good faith with any such inquiry.
